ThinkPortal is the secure client area of ThinkForex. It allows you to manage your trading accounts, access additional features available only to live account holders and deposit and withdraw funds to your accounts.
How to I register to use ThinkPortal?
You can get access to the ThinkPortal in a number of ways. If you’ve signed up for a live or demo account, you’ll automatically get access. You can also sign up directly for a ThinkPortal account by simply clicking ‘New Account’ on the ThinkPortal login page and fill out the form.
Go to ThinkPortal
and enter your registered email address and password, and you can then log in to the portal.
I have forgotten my password – what do I do?
At the login page click on ‘Forgot Username or Password?’ and enter your registered email address. You’ll then be sent instructions on how to retrieve your login details.
Why can’t I see all the features of the ThinkPortal?
ThinkPortal has a number of features which may not be applicable to your account type. For example, if you only have a demo account you’ll not see information on depositing funds. You’ll always see the features applicable to you. As your account type and status changes, your portal access will also evolve.
My Profile is the area of the site that stores your personal information, such as your date of birth and contact information. This is automatically populated with information you’ve provided when signing up for your account.
Your ability to update your profile information depends on the status of your account. For example, if you have a live account already, you are not able to edit your address directly and must contact us. If you only have a demo account, you can easily update your details.
Can I change my trading account password?
Yes, you can. Simply choose ‘Live Accounts’ or ‘Demo Accounts’ from the menu and within the list of your accounts, click the settings ‘gear’ icon next to the account number. You’ll then need to enter the new password and confirm for the change to become active.
I need to change my leverage – how do I do this?
Go to the ‘Live Accounts’ or ‘Demo Accounts’ view and click the settings ‘gear’ icon next to the current leverage. From the dropdown menu you can then choose your desired account leverage. Please note that there may be leverage restrictions in place based on your account balance. You can view all details of leverage thresholds and restrictions by clicking here
Can I change my account currency?
You are not able to change the currency of your trading account through the portal. This is because you may have existing trading history which would become inaccurate after making such a change. You can easily apply for a new account and select your desired currency.
How can I fund my account?
There are a number of different ways to fund your trading account, including bank wire, credit/debit card and through a number of e-wallets providers such as Neteller or Skrill (Moneybookers). To initiate funding, simply click on ‘Deposit Funds’ and then select your desired method and simply follow the prompts to fund your trading account.
Can I transfer money between my accounts?
Yes, you can transfer any free equity between accounts using the portal. From within the ‘Trading Accounts’ menu, simply select ‘Inter-Account Transfer’ and choose the sending and recipient accounts and the amount.
How do I withdraw funds from my trading account?
You have two options for withdrawing funds from your trading account – go to ‘Withdraw Funds’ and you can either download a pdf form which you can print, complete and send to us, or you can e-sign the form which will be securely emailed to us. Our treasury team will then process the withdrawal from your trading account.
Can I see a list of all transactions?
Yes, you can see a list of all deposit and withdrawal transactions you’ve completed across all your accounts from the ‘Funding History’ section. You can search by account number or by date, and can click on the reference number for more information.
How do I apply for a new live account?
If you want to sign up for a live account, or an additional live account, simply select ‘Account Request’ from the ‘My Account’ menu. You’ll then be taken to the applicable application form.
Can I apply for another demo account?
Yes, you can - select ‘Create Demo Account’ from the menu and complete the form. The account will be created in a few seconds and you’ll then be able to log in.
How do I register for a VPS?
To register for a VPS you must first have met the minimum requirements, which is a minimum account funding level of $2,000 for VPS Pro and $5,000 for VPS Pro Plus. If you meet the requirements, simply complete the form and your VPS request will be processed. You’ll receive an email notification once the VPS is ready to go.
What is Autochartist and how do I use it?
Autochartist is the world’s most advanced tool for the automatic identification of trade opportunities in the form of chart patterns, Fibonacci patterns and key levels. If your account is funded with at least $2,000 you’ll get free access to Autochartist. Simply go to the Autochartist page within Trading Services and choose to ‘Open Autochartist – Currencies’ or ‘Open Autochartist – Indices’ to set it up.
How do I use the news feed?
We’ve partnered with Reuters News to give you access to in-depth news from a large network of sources – once signed in, simply click on the headline to read the full article. Be advised that demo account users are only able to see the headlines, not the full article.
RanSquawk is a news service covering markets and providing audio delivered updates in real-time. If you have a balance of over $2,000 you’ll be able to access this free of charge – go to RanSquawk within the Trading Services section and click on ‘Open Ransquawk’.
